Oh a perfect day! Box Hill, the location of Emma’s unhappy picnic was our first stop. On to Chawton, were Jane Austen lived for many years and where several of her succesful novels were written.
Jane lived in the Chawton Cottage together with her sister and her mother. The Great House was owned by her brother Edward, and she visited there regularly.
